Starting Your Own Pinball Machine Collection

If the sound of a room full steel of balls crashing into bumpers puts a smile on your face, I can't say I blame you. You could just about hear the echoes if you listen faintly.

Starting a pinball collection can be an extremely rewarding hobby. There is nothing quite like seeing a basement full of these massive machines.

If you're just starting out, there are some important things you have to consider before getting your feet wet.

First off do I have enough space? Yes this may be obvious, but sometimes people tend to forget. They see a pinball machine at there local bar and say "hmm... it would be nice to have one of those". Then they get it home and realized it looked a lot smaller in the bar than it does your living room.

Now, the perfect place would be a game room. But not everybody has the privilege or the permission to get a game room in your house. Next best place would be a basement or maybe even a large garage. Obviously you would have to be in the 1 percentile of people who don't use their basements or garages as a landfill. If it is, just tidy up a bit, you'd be amazed at the kind of room you could come up with, when you can see the floor.

Next off, be prepared to make the occasional repair. Lets face it, when a hard steel ball moves at an unhealthy speed into other hard items, something eventually has to give.

You don't have to be an expert on the nuts of bolts of pinball machines. That's what the manuals are for. After a couple of tweaks, you'll become a pro.

If you're not much of a handyman don't worry! I can almost assure you that there is at least a few pinball machine repairmen in your local area. Think about it. Every time you go into a bar, pool hall, etc.. how often do you see pinball machines there. Quite a few times, right? Well these pinball machines are owned by businessmen. And these businessmen have people they hire just to work on their machines. So they are all around, no matter where you live.

Finally, where can you buy pinball machines? Well, there are hundreds of sites of pinball machines for sale. But the one I would recommend the most is eBay. There is no other internet venue, where you could find that many pinball machines for sale.

Hundreds of different listings on all kinds of pinball machines for sale. Whether you're looking for a real antique from the 1940s or the newest pinball machines from Stern, eBay is the way to go.

The single best thing about eBay is that you could see seller's feedback. This is an option that you just don't have on the other pinball machine sites. Checking a seller's feedback guarantees that you're getting a quality machine from a trusted source.

You can see all of eBay's listings on pinball machine for sale right here at pinballstore.net.
