How Sad that there is only Pinball Maker

It really is sad that there is no competition in pinball machines anymore. Not that Stern isn't doing a fine job. In fact they are doing a great job. But its always important to have some healthy competition to keep the quality level up. Every Microsoft needs an Apple.

But it just goes to show how hard the popularity of pinball machines have fallen. To the average American household, a pinball machine can't compare with the Nintendo Wii.

But, maybe the newer Stern pinballs can change the tides. Their newest pinballs, Batman (based on the "Dark Knight: film) and the Indiana Jones pinball machine are incredible. If they can keep this kind of pace, pretty soon pinball machines will finally make it back to the mainstream of American society.

But even if never did, it would be nice to have the old school charms from Williams and Bally to test out. Who knows, if Stern keeps cranking out pinball games of this high quality, we might see some new companies getting into the pinball industry. As a die hard pinball fan as I am, that would be amazing.
